Alundra

I dunno but I like this Crystalis remix

Crystalis is insanely high quality for a NES title

Those are Zelda-like-likes you stupid shits.
the newer the zelda is, the more handholding you're going to suffer through
the original zelda didn't tell you shit, you just wandered around and were likely to find something too difficult for you
which was awesome
I really hated Gunple
I thought a western Zelda sounded awesome
But no permanent items and power-ups being temporary really killed my buzz. Not to mention most combat revolved around duck, take a pot shot, repeat.
But Crystalis is the best Zelda-esque game.
Shame the Neo-Geo sequel was kill.
if you've never played soulblazer/soulblader on snes, you're in for a treat
it was the 'real' sequel to actraiser, but played like a zelda game
the first act is a bit of a slog since those graphics don't look good anymore, but the music and environment variety keeps improving as you play

Okami was the wolf sections of TP done right.
This is the closest any game has come to emulating Zelda.

I feel like I'm the only one that hated Darksiders. Art design is awful, level layout is pretty poor, little to no exploration (even more so than SS) and item usage felt lame. Funny how 2 ripped off Diablo next and made no god damn sense.
