It was pretty screwed up in my last playthrough. I managed to sequence break through the clock tower after the wall by using wolf form on stairs. I got a Holy Sword as a random drop from one of the knights there. It had twice the attack power of any weapon I had found up until that point, and it was even stronger because most enemies are weak against holy.

Then in the inverted castle, the fifth Schmoo I killed dropped a Crissaegrim. Was easy mode from then on out.
