It's not. However, you kind of ruin it for yourself by seeing this. It starts out as a fun loving happy go lucky Super Hero comic that goes south 12 issues in due to a well done deconstruction of the genre angle. There is a consistent, coherent story with well developed characters and plot. However, there is one small five to ten issue span where it goes up it's ass because the Hero decides to be a pussy and quit. He then realizes he can't and gets out of the plot's way.

Story stuff was going on beyond this. This was a literal "out of nowhere" kind of thing, so he was blindsided and not exactly in the mood.

Imagine you left someplace for a while, thinking you would be better off. Only its not, things suck hard and you decide to come back. Then when you do, you hear your best friend was killed in an accident, your family has died. your girlfriend was fucking someone else whom you hate, and everyone thinks you suck ass now since you came back.
