Or you can skip this whole adaptar shit all together by just getting a mono headset and using the sound out of your TV. The adapter is only there for people who want game sound + voice through the headset. Or just use Discord like a normal person

Or you just use regular headphones, with a regular PC with a regular line input. And you get all your audio from your PC.

It's how I already did it, for all my consoles. And it's how I'll continue to do it for the Switch too.
