different anon here, i never played splatoon 1 and i found myself struggling to even hit the balloons in the tutorial with the gyro on so i turned it off as soon as i got done with that. what makes the gyro better? is it just able to turn faster or what? after my brief exposure to playing with it in the tutorial i can't imagine how anybody could ever manage to hit what they're aiming at with the gyro on.

you're not supposed to flail with your controller to move the reticule around wildly, you use the right stick to move the camera on the horizontal axis and then you make adjustments with the gyro
