What was your reaction to this?
>well I'm playing this 8 years late so I'm not really suprised
>>384528817
Never felt so betrayed in my life
*turns 540 degrees and runs away
>>384528817
was there any point to even enter that room?
i thought it just has some ammo
>and then a zombie popped out
>>384529445
the valve is in that room
>>384528891
What about when Nemesis made you realize that not even safe rooms were safe anymore?
>>384529619
>20 years later
>she's still useless
>>384529843
At least she's cute
>ywn live in this house
>>384530750
>house
>>384528817
>arrange mode
>rocket launcher
that 1/4 second it took to ready and fire was intense.
>>384530921
>Jill, run for that house!
>>384529583
my first horror game was RE3
>The zombie popping outta the window
>Running away from Nemesis
>Realizing that he can follow me
>That feeling that you aren't safe at all in empty rooms
I couldn't sleep for like 2 days because of that shit
>watching older brothers play re2
>prolly 6 or 7
>running as claire
>every time she dies and the camera shows her being eaten I pop a boner
>Any time she gets decapitated I pop a boner
>She lets out that death scream I pop a boner
I never understood. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. Which is why I was so disappointed in RE as an adult.
The deaths aren't as gruesome or detailed. It's just pan camera off and hear munching noises on flesh.
>>384532701
Seek help
>>384528817
little boy me screamed like a little girl.
>>384528817
>call for help
Any kid scared by RE was a weak minded child
>>384529541
I think he means the very room you cannot enter, the parking lot
>>384532701
>played RE4 as a kid
>get aroused by Leon dying
>masturbate to RE4 death compilations
I'm not even gay or into snuff.
Turn off console and tell big bro to play
>>384532815
you're not very open minded to degeneracy and mental illness anon, shame on you
>>384529583
What the fuck are you talking about? Safe rooms had always been safe even with Nemesis.
>>384528817
>>384529445
the valve is there and its a death trap
>>384528817
>fucking heart rate increase
>skin on arms tingle
>quick inhale, hold breath
>dread having to go back in control
great gaming experience overall
>>384528817
This is when you were confindent enough about Resident Evil gameplay rules and the game just trolls you super hard.
Some of y'all may remember me from an RE thread about a week ago, I was a guy who's never played any RE but 5 with a friend online. Well, a few of you told me to play RE1 on my PS3, which I've since done. I've been playing through RE2 this week, these games are fucking awesome. I wish I never skipped them.
>>384533732
>Realizing classic RE games are awesome in 2017
There is hope.
>>384529084
*turns 720p degrees and runs adjacent from the direction you were just traveling
>>384533732
Then play Silent Hill 1-4 and Fatal Frame 1-2 if you're craving for more classic survival horrors after playing through the RE games.
>>384534379
I'll add on to this with a game called Extermination on PS2.
It's not super great, but it's still kind of enjoyable.
>>384528817
confession: i never finished re3
didn't even get past the police department
in fact that's exactly where i left off
i was having fun while soiling my pants about the random chance to spawn through any entrance zombies have, but once nemesis was introduced and i fucking knew he was going to start popping up through all the fucking building i just couldn't continue
i was about 10
>>384533946
I do think there are some parts of RE1 that didn't hold up, but 2 is awesome. For example: I didn't really like when you fight the Giant Snake. Is that better in the remake?
>>384528817
>>384534697
my best friend and I had this weird thing where we played all the RE games together by switching on and off depending on what type of enemy was on the screen - i was too afraid of the zombies to fight them, so he always had to deal with them, but anytime it was BOWs, that's when i would play.
I don't really understand it, I guess i thought zombies felt a little bit more real than the BOWs.
>>384534887
Ha.
>>384533385
the one under the stairs of the police station right after nemesis bursts out of the window. Nemesis enters the room as soon as the camera angle changes
>>384534887
REmake is the best thing that the saga or gaming in general has ever spawned. One of the few 10/10s. To answer your question, it is.
>>384533732
>>384534379
>>384534541
I'll add Dino Crisis to that. The original is essential survival horror - really nails the atmosphere.
Dino Crisis 2 is great as well but transitioned into a more action oriented game - been much longer since I revisited it so can't vouch for it quite as much as the original.
>>384534887
One of the best things REmake changed was the whole Neptune sequence.
That shit is on a whole nother level cinematically.
>>384535605
That's funny, Dino Crisis is a game about dinosaurs, and it's survival horror to a T.
Devs slap ghosts or zombies on games today and call it survival horror, and then it always just ends up being action.
>>384528817
It's alright. Just QTE your way through.
>>384528817
"oh look it finally happened once"
>>384534887
It doesn't change much, but the snake is more gruesome and intimidating. But, overall Remake is much better. I remember that I did feel fear again while playing Remake at the time, even though I have completed several Silent Hills.
what's the strongest tyrant in re?
>>384535815
Dino Crisis has the most refined survival mechanics ever on a game.
>>384536741
The one in Code Veronica, but it's not hyper strong
>>384537454
you don't have to waste any ammo on him. On the plan just click the comp 5 times and send him flying
