I really wanted to get a Vita. It had a lot of features that I thought were really cool for a portable system.

There were just so many deal breakers though:
- No games (that I wanted)
- Never got a Monster Hunter
- No PS2 games similar to how the PSP got PS1 games
- Stupid expensive proprietary memory cards
- Video out was exclusive to the Vita TV for some reason

I loved my PSP. I played it forever. It had the best PS1 emulator as well as great emulators for other systems. I bought games for it too. I ripped them after I bought them, but I still tried to support it. Sony just completely dropped the ball with the Vita though.

That's not true, either. Releases were consistent up to 2016(at least 2 per month) but first-party releases began to stop around 2014. Soul Sacrifice Delta was one of the last first-party games that saw a release on the Vita.

They're mostly the same, actually. There are some enhanced ports that came out after initial release, and there's the occasional game like Gal Gun that runs like shit on the Vita, but otherwise, there's not much disparity.

just bought a load of vita vidya in the weeb sale they had recently,
