Usually kbm, the only time I used a controller was for console games (rarely but duh) and nier automata, since kbm dodging is asssssssssssssssss.

Ideally you should have to take your fingers off camera control and\or character movement as little as possible, at most a controller can offer only 6 buttons, including stick clicking.
Keyboards just offer much more at once without sacrifice or the need for game assistance like lock on.
