This might actually be working out in Nintendo's favour though. The console still shows up as "SOLD OUT" a lot, so the non-early adopters see it as being popular while at the same time not being able to buy it and realise it has only one game. And now that the console has been out for a little bit Nintendo are starting to build up the library so that when stocks do come back and the non diehard people start to pick it up they will find themselves to have a console with games and so they'll get a much better impression than with the Wii U.

Though I think it's hilarious that the Switch is having these hardware problems, you all got to remember that Nintendo is not in the same market space as Sony and MS anymore. They haven't been since the Wii. The only competition they may be in is getting third parties to flock to their system so they can get more Switch adapters. However, you can tell after last year's E3, a lot of those devs have went quiet on supporting the Switch, most likely waiting to see how successful it is. And as you can tell, the Switch already has run into several problems, which explains why none of the devs have spoken up a word. Not to mention, Nintendo directly denying most people dev kits except to a select few.

Nintendo is playing the game of locking everyone out but themselves.
