Just wrap up the Hayden storyline in a half decent expansion and maybe fucking try for some plot that isnt shit in the sequel.

Also considering the dev time and how big the brand used to be the games 3 million copies sold was a complete failure, im not sure there will be a sequel.

And for all intents and purposes, the plot wasn't that bad. Besides, it's a DOOM game. It doesn't need to be fancy schmancy. Hell, I loved how not in the way it was and how Doomguy legitimately did not give a rat's ass about any of it. I'm surprised that it offended you as much as it did with how little of it was actually in your face

For a medium budget new IP 3mln would be great, but for a game that was in development for 10 years and that made the fps genre its a complete flop.

Also people have short memory but the launch and PR before it was a fucking train wreck. They didnt show single player gameplay up to a week before release, the beta was shit, and all marketing, literally everything for months up till release was multiplayer focused. Not to mention the lack of review copies so no reviews were online on launch day.
The marketing suicide didnt do sales any favor.

Also you talk dev hell, but somebody had to pay the bills. Bethesda cant be happy with what went down.

Oh, I agree with you on that. I remember everything. The E3 demo was trash and I'm glad the finished product was almost nothing like it.

ID got a lot of veteran artsist form other studios to work on environmental art and assets as well on all the DLC so far, you can see on linkedin and artstation that all of them moved to other projects.

You rarely see so many freelancers helping a big aaa studio, only saw the same with mass effect Andromeda.
My guess is that with how much they pushed the multiplayer pre release and how hard they pushed the season pass the plans for mulltiplayer dlc were in place long before the game came out. They hired a number of big names to make maps while ID focused on wrapping up the main game and another studio wrapped up the multiplayer assets and gameplay. Then they released it as each satellite team was ready.
Since if people dont know ID was so behind the release schedule most multiplayer maps and models were outsourced to Certain Affinity.

I doubt there was any plans for single player DLC to begin with at any point during development, they barely made the game bu the release date and thats with a lot of help.
