it was just one gen back. and a good gen to hold out on since it can't be emulated yet. whole huge giant fucking library between it and everything you can play on a pc, or emulate on your phone or something

not really caring about newer stuff and not making video games a priority for recreation, or impulse buying stuff you really need, is probably alright

no they are smart. 7th gen games go for literal pennies now. hell, when 6th gen was relevant saturn games were cheap as fuck. its even more smart to be a gen behind now because more games are doing the "goty edition" thing where they include all the dlc and shit for free.

That really only works for single player games. If you care about online multiplayer you're missing out unless the publisher hasn't shut down its servers yet and the game was popular enough to maintain an active online community.

Same. I've waiting for all this years PS4 releases to go down in price so I'm working through my backlog of 6th and 7th gen games. I've bought so fucking many. They're so cheap.
