What went right?

Gameplay. It felt like a step up from mgs 3, when you could actually play the game. And the story, for what it's worth, did a decent enough job acting as a finale to Solid Snake's story. Plus that Shadow Moses chapter was famtastic!

This. Just compare the section in the Middle East to any Middle Eastern urban environment from any Cowadoddy type game from last gen.

The epilogue is just pure cancer. Nobody can defend that bloated shit. I actually like the game.

Act 1 and 2
Character models/style. MGO characters looked great, the enemy grunts looked great

I like the story, great movie
