That was a problem in my city until the cops get an open license to ticket even minor infractions fully.

It stopped being a problem about a month later, and the police department generated about $30,000,000 in ticket revenue.

Sometimes you have an asshole examiner. I passed mine but what a nightmare. Decided I would stay 1 under the speed limit so that I wouldn't accidentally go over. "I'm going to have to take points because the speed you're going at would affect the flow of traffic." Gee I'm such a fuck face for going 44 in a 45 during a test. Then he asked what sign we passed two minutes back. The only thing I could remember was a hospital sign but I wasn't sure when that was so I chose that. "No, it was a sign for one of the shops." How is that relevant to driving if I'm not going to that shop? What a fucking joke.

Roundabouts aren't that great. While they do reduce high impact accidents they take up a lot of room, cost a lot more and actually increase low impact accidents which are the already the most common form of accident by a significant margin. People should just obey road rules rather than having government build elaborate merging constructions all over the place.

2 Is driving straight, and has no signs or cars to contend with.

3 is crossing another lane and has 1 car to contend with so he must yield.

Hello from /o/. I own a bunch of racing games including, rFactor 1 + 2, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, Dirt Rally, iRacing (some months), and some of the Forza games as well as hardware for simulation. I also spend time at the local track every now and then when I don't play games.

Each game has its highs and lows, and each one feels vastly different than the other. For example drifting in Project Cars is nearly impossible. No matter how many times I've tried, I cannot drift any of the cars effectively. Project Cars is awesome, however, for GT3 and F1 class racing and precision driving. Some games do every aspect well like rFactor 1 + 2. Racing and drifting is learnable and isn't restricted by the physics engine and is comparable to the real thing.

Assetto Corsa is my favourite because it feels closest to a real car. Each track also feels close to the real thing, but you can tell the devs spent most of their time on Nürburgring as it's super close to it's real life counterpart. I've had the opportunity to drive the Nürburgring a couple of times (I did my runs in my RX-8) in my life and I can tell you it every part felt the same as it did in the wheel.

There's no way for sure to say which is the best sim as they all do well in areas others don't. You just have to be equipped and play them all to find out which is your favourite.

I will wager euros can't understand this but,

in my life I have found one invalid intersection. One thing we get right and STANDARD in america is roads and if you're from europe I imagine you are hopeless to understand that.

I can't even remember what it was exactly about it, but in west columbia, south carolina, there's an intersection where nobody has right of way properly. And absolutely nobody has an issue with it either. But it's still the only one I've ever seen.

If I recall correctly the thing that is wrong with it is that a road turns into a left turn only and then terminates into an intersection incorrectly..hard to explain

What a convenient image displaying cars arriving at the roundabout at different times and using it with distinct purpose and pre-destination while desiring to be in only the easiest and most safe lane...

...except for the 1 car in the top left who has arrived at the roundabout (which is has no stop sign, no yield sign) and is freaking the fuck out about what he needs to do when not a single other car on the road is signaling their intention or slowing down and he's got 4 cars coming up behind him.
>>
I went to America a couple of years ago and they drive so much more aggressively. I signal I want to change lanes to the left, the guy in the lane goes forward and the guy behind him speeds up into the gap that was created. It just kept happening, too. Every state just gives you a 10 question multiple choice test and a 20 minute driving test that doesn't even require highway driving or parallel parking.

And they don't re-test you, ever.
>>
>>384485692
The correct order depends on who gets there first and who has to travel the less distance to turn.

Assuming they all got there at the same time, 2 goes first because it's a very quick right turn.

Then as that car is turning, 1 should go. Then 3. This order makes the most sense.
>>
>>384490617

This is right. Any other answer is wrong. The sign that 2 has is just to warn him about the other 2 drivers. 2 is oncoming traffic and has no reason to yield to 3, because there's no yield sign there despite what people might say.
>>
>>384485692
2, 3 and then 1

there are no "give way" signs or markings, if they're travelling at a main road speed then 3 has to wait to turn, 3 is on a main road and is crossing over 1, though there are no "give way" markings, it's safe to assume the sign next to the 1 is saying this, as it's an upside down triangle and those sorts of signs are often like that

Also, it's "Let's see who can drive!"
But given the sides of the road, it's either a flipped picture, "other" European or American as mostly British Commonwealth countries and Japan drive on the left
>>
>>384490686
Isnt that just there to tell you to get the fuck out of the way for people merging so they don't get stuck in a lane thats ending in 100ft? You don't need to actually stop and let them go through, you change lanes, you speed up, or you slow down to give them a gap in which they can actually get into the proper road.

Depends on the roundabout actually. A good sized two lane roundabout is actually going to cost more to install than a simple intersection with traffic lights because roads are actually a little more complicated than just dumping tar on the ground and a roundabout is a larger road surface area. If it's in lieu of a traffic light intersection then it will eventually be cheaper because long term power and maintenance costs for the lights eventually overtake the roundabout installation cost.

Cheap..."er" than what? A full setup, in the suburbs, required county electrical power company to run a new relay station for the distance from a tower so that a new intersection can be fully created with working stop lights? Maybe.

Not cheaper than two intersecting straight lines and 4 Stop Signs pounded into the corners.

>>
>>384490452

That's not surprising considering the majority of American roads were built relatively recently.

You have to remember Europe predates civil planning and a lot of it was built for people and horses, not vehicles. That's why you have lots of narrow winding roads and tiny ass sidewalks and shit like that all over the place. It's a retrofit.

A junction is a road that continues on (the "main" road) and a road that ends at this controlled merge point. Known as a junction.

Actually in my area people were failing their tests because a lollipop woman was stopping traffic on a pedestrian crossing that had its own stop lights while they were green. They were failed for the exact same reason, impeding traffic. You really have way too high a hopes for the UK driving test system.

Also I've been driving fully licensed for three years.

To be honest, Europeans are probably the only people who can drive. Arabs are nuts and their bumpers are always bent because of how they park. Asians have no rules whatsoever, nobody gives a shit and just drive anywhere they want, which turns an average European's hair white. Americans all know how to drive, but absolute need for a vehicle from the young age, lack of education and shitty cars all over the place are the reason why most don't know shit, plus enormous distances imply a need for speed and extremely powerful engines which results in morons racing all over the place in power tanks weighting 2+ tonnes.

I don't know how it is in america but where I live we have what is called the right-hand rule, which means unless otherwise specified the vehicle to the right of you has right of way. If the OP image had no signs the order would be 312.

That said the majority of junctions in the country has yield signs and the like so this rule rarely becomes relevant, but it's a handy standard to remember if you're driving on a dirt road out in bumfuck nowhere and there's not a sign to be found.

Fell asleep at the wheel for a few seconds after waiting around 45 minutes in a heavy traffic jam. This was after a 10 hour shift and getting absolutely no sleep the night before. Veered off my lane and grazed the side of a black Escalade, a newer one too. My mirror got folded in and some black paint ended up on my rear bumper, but she didn't see anything on her car, so I got off scot free.

>>384494016
You don't need to clutch for anything other than first. Clutchless shifting is fairly common for car drivers too but truckers almost universally shift without the clutch.

Because my country's traffic laws say so. Again, this isn't something that's up for debate here. If there are no signs, 2 stops for 1. Period. End of discussion. Regardless how stupid you think it is this is what goes on tests here and this is what people are expected to follow, it's not exactly rocket science.

Like I mentioned however, there is almost always a sign or some other rule in place that prevents the above from taking place. The only real situation where you'd see the above scenario to begin with is if you're driving in some remote neck of the woods far away from any main roads or anything. My country has a lot of dense forests and hills so chances are very likely that when such a scenario does happen none of the vehicles involved would be driving anywhere near 60mph, least because it'd be difficult to even see cars from adjacent roads. Most of the time 1 just won't be able to see that 2 is coming, and even if he does he might not be able to stop in time, so if 2 doesn't stop for 1 that mean's they're gonna crash into each other.
