A note on animal crossing: any of them are good for helping with loneliness with the exception of City folk. They crippled NPC dialogue in that game. The other three should be fine though.

Yeah, it still holds up, for sure. I honestly think Wild World or New Leaf would probably be the best fits for OP, since they're portable, but that's just me.
