Why did they remove the spin?
Made skipping fights too easy, I guess. The locations are smaller at least. There's no Dry Dry Desert where it felt totally necessary.
Yoshi's fast travel kind of makes it irrelevant, although I did like it.

Yeah, but you always have to jump off of Yoshi when you need to perform another action, like entering a door. The transition from a spin to another action felt smoother.

because paper Mario 64 is the better game in everything except for core gameplay mechanics which weren't upgraded that much. the audience thing was cool ill give em that

I agree. The first game had better exploration, instead of being a collection of hallways.
