I'm making a battlemage build, is agility or strenght more important? I figure agilty is better because there's no point of strenght if you can't land a hit, but agility governs skills that I will not be using.

Because you play as the character. Call it an action adventure then, it is still a great game with some of the best quest design and player agency in vidya.

Getting into the town at the beginning alone has like five different options, none of them being directly spelled out to you, one of them being essentially a sequence break that is acknowledged by the devs by giving you extra EXP. The point of the game is not to make your own character, but to make your own decisions.

I fully agree. And this is why I felt pretty sad when I learned that Elex's world will end up being even better than the one in Gothic 3, when they couldn't even handle that one. Khorinis is pretty large but every single bit of it has been handcrafted, and there's also Jarkhendar and the Valley of the Mines.

Gothic's relatively small compared to something like G3, the Witcher, or Skyrim. And I have no fucking idea why they're changing that with Elex.
