I prefer the Investigation Team over the Phantom Thieves, but I never had a problem with any of the cast, and thought they had much better reasoning for sticking together than Yukiko/Rise in P4

He was an irredeemable asshole though. His only redemption in the end was caring enough for the protagonist to spare the group the trouble of having to deal with his Cognitive duplicate in the end.

After aiding the villain and being more or less partly responsible for his rise to power for three years, killing the people in his way. He was far more irredeemable than even Adachi was.
