This isn't much of a surprise, really. Most of the Nintendo Switch's content is just Wii U content with a fresh coat of paint. Only ARMS is truly unique to the system, with even Breath of the Wild released on both Wii U and Switch. Splatoon 2 may not be a port in the same way Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is, but it seems like fans and detractors alike consider the game "more of the same." Fun, slick, polished...but not really a sequel so much as "Splatoon Deluxe."
