I have never played Dark Souls 3, but every single screen shot I see looks so muddy and unappealing. The game clearly suffers from a blatant overuse of assets, since they seem to copy-past the same 4-5 candles everywhere and don't even bother to rotate them most of the time.

Also those trees are PS1-tier.

Most devs want parity. Or forced, or bribed to do it. Either way, if consoles didn't exist, console parity wouldn't exist, and most games wouldn't have their max settings dumbed down for shitty hardware. Only the usual MP games would.
