I grasp most mechanics pretty well but party composition is still either going very well or absolutely horrible.

Week 22, almost every class level 3 and a few healers extra, two deaths.

I am scared absolutely shitless of vvulf though, i really dislike forced encounters like that.

Bring a Man at Arms. Use guard on whoever is targeted for bombs. Don't forget to bring a healer. Snort Hunter works well, everyone is Human and Vvulf likes to guard his minions, letting him hit him most of the time.

Buy all the shovels you can and don't forget to check out the siderooms once Vvulf is dead.

it's fine, except they reduced finale to 1 use per battle, and kept the 12 turn debuff, even though you're always going to use it near the end of the battle, so you'll probably still have it in your next battle. if it were me I'd drop the debuff to 4-5 turns or something and remove the limit

His finale skill was turned into shit. You basically can't use it first turn; you need to "charge it up" using other skills. Oh and you can only use it once. The only fights you would ever use it in are the ones where you get more use out of the Jester putting him in the back and stress healing because it's a long fight. In other words they limited his utility by making him nearly worthless as a damage dealer.

There have been pretty much daily DD threads since release. The game is slowly gaining appreciation as time goes on though as more and more people are picking it up during sales. With the recent crimson court expansion people are picking it back up. New mods breathe new life into the gameplay as well. Now's pretty much the most popular it's ever going to be. To stack like this it helps if the leper you have in front uses Intimidate. Occultists of course need Weakening Curse. Bring plenty of Antivenom because blight is the only way he can do damage to you once you stack above 100%.

She has god tier +% scout trinket. Get that first. She can go to ruins and cove because heavy bleed and her dagger throws + high crit chance + high speed means she will easily one shot the most annoying enemies in back ranks.

The only disadvantage is that she can die from single hit at higher dificulties.

Now even gog version has fixed that building which gives you 2 bloods per week for free and with it it is cool aids which slowly spread through hamlet. Al you need is to rush getting 80 heads first. Not that hard. You need letters and painting for blacksmith and guild, heads are for church and barracks.

If you intend to play the game, get dlc too.

I liked it. Additional enemies, challenges and the curse is manageable if you don't let it pile up like a retard and build the vintners (which can, by itself, sustain 10 infected people -almost half your max roster size- indefinitely).
In fact recently they added randomized "gather blood" missions to the courtyard, which completely removes any management aspect to the curse (and makes it become a good thing because of the bonuses it gives on bloodlust state)

Depends on what you are looking for really. It is basically "Long War for Darkest Dungeon". I like a lot of the changes it makes
>More challenge, DoTs are actually dangerous now (Open Vein for example, deals 4pts bleed at lvl 1). Quirks -both negative and positive- have greater effects, Things are more expensive, disease are fucking devastating
>Enemies can now have affixes which give them new strengths or weaknesses
>Bigger dungeons that are more unique in design (Ruins is a long corridor-like dungeon with quite a bit of backtracking, Weald is grid-based with plenty of alternate routes)
>Abilities gain an additional effect at lvl 3 and some get another one at lvl 5
>Accuracy is determined by weapon level rather than skill level
>Corpses are more than just obstacles (Skeletons will reanimate, pig corpses will spread disease, fish corpses will cause bleed and weald corpses cause blighy)
>More provisions and curio interactions, some of which will summon bosses

There are quite a lot more. The one thing I think make people dislike the mod is how unforgiving the economy used to be, you could reach a fail-state really easily in the first weeks if you were not ultra careful, but that has been solved in version 6.0, much more forgiving now

It is, the big problem with the dlc is the fact is very intrusive and is was clearly design for lte game when you at least did one or two of the DD quest.

Most of the negative comments are for new players who got the game from the sale

Aside for that, the Flagellant is very good nd fun to use and the districts help alot

The ones I really have annoyances with are the skeleton corpses because they reanimate immediately after the round ends rather than waiting one turn like the others. Also the other corpses can only use their 'nasty' abilities (Bleed, Blight, Disease) in pos 1 and 2; they use a healing+self mark at pos 3 and 4.
In any case, yes, corpse clearing is almost mandatory. Luckily a lot of abilities now clear corpses as well (Breakthrough, Harvest, Hand of Light, for example)

It is literally just hovering over the enemy. The affixes are even colored in green so they can easily be told apart

Depends on the ability, really. For example, Lunge gains stun chance at lvl 3 and blight at lvl 5, Invigorating Vaports removes stun and marks at lvl 3. Others are kinda meh, like wyrd reconstruction giving +5% protection or something like that

I agree on this actually, at least on the helpfulness part. I use potions mainly for curio interactions because most don't seem worth the inventory space they take

But all in all it is a mod worth looking into if you are searching for a more challenging and grueling DD experience.
