a stock i7 3770k has little relevance today, but with an OC, can still compete fairly well against the newer chips

Overclocking is a meme for tryhards to make their system sound cool. It's like that asshole who bought a $60k sportscar just to accelerate real fast after a stoplight only to stop again 20 feet down the road.

It's a meme to get you to buy higher priced shit for no reason, majority of people who get an overclockable CPU only do it at the end of it's lifespan and by that time it's time to upgrade.
