Playing Pokemon Sun, I'm close to completing my pokedex but I have nobody that's trustworthy enough for me to trade some of my pokemon with so they can evolve. I'll at least try to complete the pokedex of the first island before doing the postgame quests.

I really wanted to try the battle tree but it's a pain in the ass, I don't know how to beat the first trainers at all and my main pokemon have shitty stats.

I may be a bit bias but I think the DLC is well worth it. It adds a few characters and a bunch of courses from the original Mario Golf, each with all 18 holes.
I definitely recommend it, especially if you have a friend that's also interested in golf. If not, you can still have fun with the single player. There's even collectibles, if that's your thing.

I second this. I feel like the courses in Toadstool Tour for the GCN were better, and I definitely miss playing on a big screen, but I can't fault World Tour very much. It's an extremely solid successor. I'm not happy about the paid DLC but it's still a good game without it. I still prefer TT overall but WT is excellent too, plus it's portable and features online play. Highly recommended.

Doing all the routes in Fates again. Nearly completed Birthright, then I'm playing Conquest and Revelation. But I'll probably get bored half way through Conquest and stop playing again.

Then I still have the final level of Stella Glow to complete. I was so obsessed with that game only a few months ago but the final boss kept kicking my arse so I ragequit. I do the same thing, I have a case for all my games and store the original cases in my bookshelf, leaves them in pristine conditions and I have easy access to all my physical games.

I just want to say that I don't particularly LIKE Pokemon Sun, but I do appreciate the different take. For one, I like that there's no HM slave I need to choose, and I like that my Box Pokemon have a purpose, and that we're constantly awarded for capturing Pokémon.

I hate how the new EXP Share works, though, and the Z Powers are really cool looking, but overpowered as fuck. I also hate how cringey the Team Skull grunts are, even if I want to put my penis in the female grunt/punk girl.

I also enjoyed the new farming system (coming back to a specific place to water plants was gay), and the beans system for Pelago was cool, but the strength of the affection system was ridiculous.

Fucking difference right there. Somehow for a series intended for kids the older ones have LESS hand holding than the newer ones. I don't even know what gamefreak is doing with the series at this point. In the old games it's just "hey here's how to catch a pokemon" and that's about it. The rest is just shit you gotta figure out on your own. The other thing about the newer game is the 3D aspect. Like why is it so horrible? I get that shits on a handheld console made by Nintendo but that's still no excuse for the game to look this jank. There are a lot of games on the 3DS that did what they could with the given hardware and doesn't end up looking like a mess.

Thabes is baller, but personally Duma Tower will stick out as the most memorable to me because I managed to get myself into a really bad spot and endured the most panic-inducing flight of my life trying to get back down the tower with 0 rewinds to save and preserve all the levels I'd gotten. I didn't realize the Escape feature was a thing. I felt silly afterwards but damn was it intense.
