Why did the voice acting in the PS2 port suck so much fucking ass?

I played that game. I think I got about halfway through it before I stopped playing for one reason or another.

I couldn't figure out the combat system so I didn't get very far.

Also that game hella aged. Cover shooter back before those were much of a thing, was fun for the time though

I played that and I missed the true ending on my first playthrough because I killed the mind controlled faggot in the last boss battle. I also remember some earth god after a ninja village and it took me like 40 minutes to beat that piece of shit. I know I was doing something wrong but I didn't lose so I just fought him until he was dead.

This was one of the couple games I bought the day I bought my PS3, back when it had its first price drop to $550.

It absolutely fucking sucked, it also tended to freeze during loading screens.
