It improved the AI tremendously and the weapon combinations were pretty sweet, even though you could make a certain one at the very start which had you set for the whole game IIRC.
But the whole game was much easier and instead of difficult events and small time windows just kept pilling up easy ones.
Finding Zombrex never made up for it. There's more to it like level layout and other unneeded tweaks but I honestly can't remember enough to talk.
