With VR being more improved by the year and technology keeps growing at a fast past. Will we ever get a realistic war simulator? So much so that people could get PTSD or Shellshock?

Nah.
Can't simulate that without your bros really dying.
Or at least I hope that's what causes soldiers' minds to break on the battlefield, not something as weak as explosions or knowing you could die at any moment.
technology may eventually reach a point when such a thing is possible, but there's no way a game graphic enough to cause either of those things would exist in today's climate
No matter how immersive and even if it's insanely intense, in the back of your mind you'll know it's not real, so I doubt you could get any real long term effects

What are you talking about? No one has said shit about the Occulus or Rift since it came out. They still don't have any games that aren't some retarded sit in one spot or teleport from spot to spot meme shit. VR is DOA. Same exact shit happened in the 80s and 90s when they tried to push this.
