Has any of these reviews said if we can change weapons and gears without having to quit the lobby or without having to return in the main hub ? Or even better, if we can change weapons AFTER seeing what our teammates want to use ?

I remember in the first game, it was just a pain to be randomly put in a game with 3 mates maining snipers or brush like you... Awful design decision, in the end I was just playing with only one set of the most basic polyvalent SMG-like gun just because the interface was fucking tedious in term of QOL.
