I've been starved for a good story focused RPG since Witcher 3 expansions so i had my finger hovering over the purchase button just when the flood of raw ingame material came out. Just finished the trial and it's pretty bad, the plot and characters are completely uninteresting, the animations remind me of watching The Thunderbirds, overall graphics are pretty mediocre (especially for a game on the frostbite engine), I suppose the combat is an improvement on the older games but it's nothing that spectacular, especially when combat was never the series' strong point anyway.

Worst of all you quit the trial and it says, You have another 6 hours of gameplay time left, Enjoy!

I borrowed it from theinternet. The game looks good, Mass Effect was always a bumpy ride but the Frostbite engine makes enduring it even more bearable. It feels better than the old games too, it'll be hard to go back to just jogging around without sprint/jumpjets/dash. Shooting also feels good, especially since they were good enough to include my Mattock. I didn't create a character and am enjoying playing as Autismfu. The story isn't bad yet but a lot of the characters are insufferable. Cool thing is it's kind of a condemnation of liberals/SJWs. In the beginning Liam barely had a chance to point out that they were beating the first of the crash survivors before I opened fire, instigating hostilities, but so much of the dialogue was "they attacked us, we dindu nuffin" that everyone seems like pussies trying to control the narrative, play the victim and simultaneously justify our mistreatment of the Kett.
Also the entire blunder that is the initiative
