ppl hating blacklist just because it gives you baby mode options doesn't mean you have to play it that way. on hardest difficulty/no markup/ no gadgets it's probably harder but even more enjoyable than CT.

That part made me pretty mad because you can technically incapacitate that guy and save the scientist if you throw a smoke grenade through an open window of the building, but the game won't let you open the door because he is supposed to get away.

It's one of the few gripes I have with the game. They give you lots of tools to achieve whatever you want, but the game still forces certain scenes on you because that's how the story needs to advance, but it is simply impossible to know in advance that you are supposed lose.

It unfortunately dumbed down the visibility meter to a three color system of green/yellow/red. It's a shame because several levels in the next gen version were pretty unique, and tried out new ideas that hadn't been explored in previous titles. The ps2/xbox version was more consistent in quality but it felt like an expansion pack of chaos theory that didn't introduce many new ideas.

Conviction is a decent game, just not a decent splinter cell game. I liked the concept behind it. Fugitive Sam on the run. I always wanted to play a game where you have to grow a beard, blend in with the crowd, avoid the Police checkpoints and fuck shit up when the time came.

But it's really not splinter cell..
