The game gets better after it. I'd say Okumura and Futaba's palaces are the low point of the game. It really starts to pick up after that.

I thought the boat with the rat mazes was worse. All the dungeons in this game had braindead puzzles that took forever. Did Atlus just fucking forget how to make dungeons? What happened?

Finished the game today (took me three fucking month). 103 hours, finished almost all SLs (Futaba and Iwai were on rank 8).

In terms of dungeons:

Holy fuck did last dungeon drag. Also Shido should've been last boss, God was such a letdown after awesome Shido fight (easy af, no cool music, no cool mechanics). Is P3 worth playing or should I move on to P4?

P3 is probably quite hard to get into. I feel it's worth it because of the overall story resolution and amazing soundtrack, but I'd say P4 is far more approachable to any newcomer. Unless you love the early 2000s edgy aesthetic, then P3 is great.

How the fuck has Shido's Ship not been mentioned yet? That's one of the worst dungeons I've ever played in the genre.

Actually I really loved P2 and Soul Hackers.
Is P3 also 100+ hours of shitty teenage drama? Because P5's story, tone and themes didn't get even half of P2 charm. Also shit on me, but it was too long. Nocturne took me 50 hours and I had immense amount of fun with it and its minimal story. Better than 50+ hours of WE ARE PHANTOM THIEVES BABY ARE YOU SURE IT WILL WORK EFFIN ADULTS.

After you level up doctor and get SP amulet with coffee you can do every dungeon in one sitting, even moreso once Haru can grow fruits in winter. I think after Madarame I did every castle in one sitting by just avoiding more mobs since fights get boring in each castle pretty fast (same enemies are too easy to deal with once you hit their weaknesses once).

Game would be 10x better with more mature cast, at least story- and message-wise. Hearing dumb teenagers talking shit they have no idea about for 80 hours isn't fun at all.
Hell, kick Haru and Yusuke out, put Iwai and Ohya (for Maya reference) or any other SL link in their place and it already 5x better. Those two didn't do anything relevant anyway.

P3 has a random 300+ floor dungeon every hates, but also the largest enemy variety of the 3d persona games. Lots of people didn't like it, I beat it four times. Also there's no teen drama, everyone's focused on "muh end of the world" and other issues. and the script for p5 was 50% bigger than p4, which was 50% bigger than p3, so much less reading.
