Rift just dropped the price to 499 and its on summer sale now for 399. So, the price is now more reasonable and the games are starting to come. Echo Arena is fucking fun and Lone Echo launches in a few days.
I've owned the Rift since launch but I think that just now it really is worth it, so many games coming this year. Also glad that couple of my friends bought it now and can get drunk with them on a space ship blasting klingon scum. VR is saved.

Onward is a multiplayer shooter that does vr right. Manual reloading and touchpad walking. It feels like what a vr game should feel like.

Space pirate trainer makes a great party/demo game for anyone who finds out you have vr and wants to try it.

You should try Robo Recall. It's seriously one the best things I've ever played but I don't think it's available on Steam. If you can imagine Time Crisis with teleporting and the rewarding of creative takedowns, you wouldn't be far off. 10/10 game and it's only possible in VR.
