is this hentai? because there is hentai ova called yu no. not sure if its the same thing
>>
>>384345825
It has a couple erotic scenes, mostly at endings of routes. The majority of people who played it will tell you it's great despite the ero elements though.

The remake even did away with all of that for the most part.

I think in general I like the old style better. However the third from the bottom looks better in the new style. The eyes in the old style are just way too big. I'm guessing the PS4 version will have all the H-scenes censored by mist, right? What's the best version of this game?

PC, download the original from erogedownload and then apply the patches from this https://tlwiki.org/?title=YU-NO_-_The_Girl_that_Chants_Love_at_the_Edge_of_the_World

For most of the important stuff the MC will drop a subtle "now will be a good time to use a jewel". So it's unlikely you'll screw yourself over that much.
And there's no such thing as permanently missing something, so just play without a care.

I guess you could go in blind, I wouldn't really recommend it but it's not as bad as I thought it was. Takuya tells you when to use a jewel and the flowchart is basically the same as the walkthrough. It'd be a lot of guess work but it's possible.

I wanted to get into Yu-no for years after hearing it's OST on Youtube once. Heard there was a remake and waited on it, but hated the changes to the artstyle and never played it. Finally got into it this summer, and it's hard to say if I really like it or not.

It's a cool game, but I feel I would've appreciated it a lot more if I played it back in 2014 or so, I still really like it though. All the different routes seem quite overwhelming and before I was trying to get a specific route and kept restarting but now I'm just playing the game as I go, which feels a lot better.

I love Takuya so much, he's been translated well and all his little sayings and comments about the things and people around him make me laugh. Plus I love the fact he talks to you when you choose an option that's outrageous, like looking at your Ayumi's thighs and such. I also relate to the kid quite a bit, so it's fun to play as him.

Not gonna post anymore in this thread tho, don't wanna get spoiled.
>>
>>384350621
Oh, interesting. Of course it was only a matter of time I suppose before they announced an anime.

I feel like this is a case in which they had to wait until the creator was dead before doing all of this. The timing is pretty convenient, I suppose.

Play the PC98 version. You see, the PC98 version's background has less details except for the true CGs. Elf upgraded those in the windows version re-release, but the only difference in full CGs is higher resolution and better coloring.

Anon, we got a shitty phonegame too. Wish they'd released it for android too.

It very much feels like they're trying to set Yu-no up as a franchise, not sure what to think of it.
>>
>>384354350
Mad about what?

>>384354083
Everyone does.
I'll admit the art for Kaori's looks better but it's moeified her to hell and it's unforgiveable
>>
>>384355774
I miss Kaori's underboob. The worst offender is Eriko though. I just don't understand how you go from a 10/10 redhead to a stick figure.
>>
>>384355548
I'm not mad at the existence of the mobile games, they could provide nice sum of extra dosh to devs and steady stream of content for those whose willing to pay for it. What I'm mad is when the phone game overtake the main series's focus instead of just being an extra for the fans, which is what DMM do when they slapped number 5 to their Dragon Knight mobile game, extinguishing any hopes of proper sequel to the main series in favor of fucking gatcha game. It's insulting to the fans of the old series.

At least I can enjoy new 'official' art of characters that I like every few weeks or so. And knowing that Tamaki is ranked top 3 in the popularity poll beating her predecessor Mizuho in the Doukyuusei mobage is amusing.

To elaborate, I don't think it's possible to create something like that again and have it match up completely with the older games. Games like Yu-no are very much a product of their time, it feels very 90s. Not only do I think modern game devs can't replicate it, they wouldn't do it justice.
I'd rather have them make something new that is good, instead of hopelessly trying to emulate older videogames.
