Why does everyone say EVE is big? I remember playing when the population was quite high at like 40-50k but this is nothing in terms of players, especially compared to other MMO's.

I really wish MMO's would stop with the whole Fantasy theme though, I would love to see more Sci-fi or other areas.

Eve is the best on that list but extremely niche and not for everyone for a lot of reasons.
WoW is unironically still the best themepark mmorpg, but I don't mean that as a ringing endorsement. FF close behind, then ESO, then GW2. All of them are fucking shit, however.
BDO is a "sandpark" abortion that is slightly less pw2 than archeage but still pig disgusting.
Wildstar never got over its shitty launch and design decisions early on. Taken at face value it's not an awful themepark but it's also worthless.
Tera is for degenerates, also terrible.
