Any one make money playing vidya?
>Years ago play dota
>end up trading shit between people
>Keep getting stuff with out spending a dime
>Have lots of old items
>Stop playing for years
>Come back cause I hear all this about dota items being expensive as hell
>All shit in my inventory is fucking useless
>Vaguely recall having some items that are worth 100's now
I fucked up, but any one else have success? I even checked my TF2 inv and its all shit

When trading was first introduced to TF2, I went onto some random trade server and a guy had people play hide and seek for an unusual hat. I won and even though the hat was really shitty (medic mirror with confetti) I traded several times until I got the hat that I wanted: a Vintage Merryweather with haunted ghosts. Naturally, the novelty of the hat wore off fairly quickly and I threw it up on the marketplace for $200 and forgot about it. A few months later it sold and I had $173 steam bucks added to my account. Once that started running low, I sold the rest of my backpack for another $50. I could've gotten $100 for that shit in my backpack but I waited too long and the prices had died. At least it trained me not to use my own money on steam anymore.
