To be fair, the Metroid games aren't really constructed in ways that show off exactly how strong she is, especially without the suit. Your basic means of interacting with stuff is shooting at it and she really has no melee attacks. The closest we have so far is the melee counter in SR, but that's a way to get easy shots on an enemy as opposed to actually smacking them around. Samus is portrayed as incredibly athletic and intelligent, however. Her jumping ability is what's usually in the spotlight, but many forces throughout the series are explicitly surprised by her ability to improvise (space pirates in prime, federation in fusion and other m). Superhuman probably not, but she's extremely capable at worst and her chozo DNA is a Deus ex machina for whatever Nintendo wants to write up for her.

There is no evidence to support Samus having any sort of innate superhuman ability whatsoever. On the other hand, to even wear his armor, the Chief needed to be enhanced to superhuman levels. It is an integral part of his backstory, while no such evidence exists for Samus.
I'm not arguing that Samus can't do some cool shit, but until we receive evidence to the contrary, as it stands, there is no reason to assume Samus is anything more than peak human.
Is it impossible? No, since we haven't gotten hard evidence that she isn't, either. But across decades of content, we haven't seen Samus do anything another well-trained and unmodified human couldn't with access to the same technology.
