By lowering their prices, stores hope the game moves faster off the shelves since each copy that remains is literally money lost.

I love Mass Effect.

It goes without saying that ME1 was fucking phenomenal. Sure it had its flaws, but the universe instilled a sense of wonder and the overall theme of the game just kept me sucked in for multiple playthroughs. ME2 was a little worse, but frankly the gameplay was addicting as fuck, and the continuations for characters like Garrus were pretty well done. ME3 was the worst of the bunch, but I still enjoyed it despite its horrible ending.

I haven't purchased ME:A nor will I. It is obviously B team garbage. Everything I've seen of it is just laughably bad. The animations, the combat, and especially the dialogue. Bioware is total shit at this point.

I still have 9+ hours on my Origin demo for Andromeda. Only played till I touched down on the first planet but it's already overloading on quips and a total lack of renegade options. Performance is also bullshit for the lackluster visuals. BF1 managed to look better while having a bigger map with more interactivity, player count and effects while also running better. I think it's just the result of profit optimization. People used to just try to make good games and assume that people would buy them as long as the final product was good enough.
