What does /v/ think about the original Fallout?
It was some good shit.

Good game
/thread (yes I can /thread my own post)
>>384316431
I love its darkness. I hate how the series degenerated into wacky slapstick.

1>3>NV>2>4

NV>1>3>4>2
>>384316828
Because you put 4 above 2, I can also see why you would prefer NV above the rest.
>>384316828
No way anything is worse than 4. Fuck off.
>>384317004
>>384317006
I haven't actually played 2, sorry lads
1>2>Fallout of Nevada>NV>3>Tactics>4>BoS>BoS2
>game lets you join the antagonist who did nothing wrong
>>384316748
>>384316828
Both objectively wrong
1>2=NV>power gap>tactics>power gap>BoS>3=4
1 defined what the series was, 2 tried to expand on that, got confused a lot, but still pulled through into pretty good territory, 3 shat on what was established in 1 and 2 by trying to somehow combine the two into a frankenstein-like reboot while ignoring the majority of the themes, NV had to salvage the mess 3 made and came out as pretty good.

>rate a game lower because he didnt play it
absolute faggotry
>>384317113
Fucking play it you cunt
>>384317414
>>384317470
I am judging it from what I have heard and from what gameplay I have seen
>>384317196
well fuck I don't know why I put BoS2 in there.
>>384317229
>turn everyone into sterile mutants
>nothing wrong
I like it
>>384317559
Yeah, copying the opinions of other people will definitely steer you in the right direction.
How the fuck did you put 1 that high when 2 has the same gameplay with more content, even if it isn't as consistently good as 1's?
Somehow the shitfests that were 3 and 4 beat that out?
You're silly
>>384317626
Being an intelligent super mutant would be pretty great and the vault 13 fucks deserve it.
>>384318264
>intelligent
>>384316431
Great game
As hard as I tried to get into the first game, it really couldn't hold my interest. I guess that because I already played 3,4, and NV, playing Fallout in a over the top Fallout with time being essential and turn-based combat didn't feel right. At least that intro scene is cool as fuck
>>384318374
Some of them were pretty smart, see Master's Lieutenant or Markus in Fallout 2. It was pretty much a dice roll if dipping made you dumb as a sack of bricks or not.
>>384318624
I think that was more how much radiation shit you got in you, so vaultfags would be the smartest but random raider Bob would be about as dumb as before taking a dip.
Played it for the first time a couple years ago, (Fallout 3 was my first in the series). Ienjoyed Fallout 1more.
>>384318624
it wasn't a dice roll. Irradiated humans would get turned into braindead super mutants, humans clean of radiation would turn into genius super mutants.
>>384318854
>>384318854
Ah yes, good point, that's basically why Master wanted you to reveal V13 location after all.
Been a while since I played F1.
>>384316431
Yeah it was good, ages well Imo with a patch. Check out fallout Resurrection
dude sterile mutants lmao
>>384318560
It took me about three tries to finally get into it, once for trying to figure out the controls, another for getting past Shady Sands, and the third time I understood enough of it that I was hooked, then went back and beat it another four times or so.
Take a break from it, think about what mistakes you might have made (like having >1 charisma/2 with gifted), and once you come back it might just click.
