All my drawers are wooden so the woodgrain model would fit best an it has nostalgic value, but that black Ataribox looks great. There's only one fatal flaw in this design
>no physical media support
I don't see where a disc or cartridge could fit. If they want to compete in current gen, they need physical.

and no vents. If this shit is aiming for competitive hardware, it's going to melt

The front folds down and you have some controls and the disk insert.

Go to bed, grandpa.

it supports sd cards, so I'm guessing it's going to sell new games on cards? or maybe it's all digital media.
>>384307189
I don't think it's going to be very competitive against the other consoles. Probably more of a retro/indie machine

>rear I/O suggests that this is just a Raspberry Pi 3 rev2 on a custom PCB
Ouya v2.0, everybody.

Definitely competing in a different market, you think Atari could afford PS4 Pro/XboneX-level hardware?

Not alone, and not the millions of units required to have a respectable install base. But it's being kickstarted, so they won't be counting on just their own money.
Also, (and this is just me thinking like a retard) they could release them in small batches which, if sold out, help fund second batches and so on. Being sold out for a while could also give it the NES Classic effect where more people than normal are more inclined to buy it just for the scarcity.
I don't know. I just really want another manufacturer in the console race. MS/Sony/Nintendo has gotten stale

It's going to be the new Ouya, mobile hardware in a box to sell to desperate nostalgia nerds that plays android games.

Did you forget that the guy who bailed Atari out a few years ago turned the entire company back into a cash cow? They don't publish shit anymore but they've made a few mobile games and lent resources to other companies, holding off on blowing funds on shit projects.

He's getting investors hyped up for something that could be "the Xbox killer". If they stick to their guns and offer a huge third party lineup it could be very well the thing that gets them back into the race after over 20 years.

But this is all speculation, mind you. I'm just a hopeful faggot.
