this is a really old school tip. dip the whole controller in oil, preferably a cooking oil like vegetable oil. then immediately place the dipped controller on top of the console while it's turned on. the the gentle heat and rumble of the console and the oil working in the controller should smooth everything out and everything should work as good as new within twenty minutes. post pic of the dipped controller on top of your console so i can see if you're doing it right
