you need a 1080 or 1080ti to do it with a single gpu. even the 1080 will struggle a bit. I'm about to buy into the 1440p 144hz meme. I'll wait on 4k

Still no 4K 144Hz HDR monitors on the market/10.

No sense buying a monitor now when it's going to be garbage next year.

No point yet, hardware to run shit at a solid 60fps is either too expensive or nonexistent depending on the game, so i'll stick with 1440p for the meantime.

Just recently did this. I'm very pleased.

Even with a 1800X and a 1080Ti I can't max out AAA (unoptimized though they may be)games @144Hz.

So 4K isn't really feasible yet, especially if you want high framerate.
