The story started off ok, then went to complete shit until you went to doma, then it had a steady increase in quality aside from the slightly rushed ending to the doma arc. Story went to shit again when you went back to ala mhigo, but picked up towards the end. Some of the best dungeons in the game. Overall I think heavensward was much better though.

Story was fun, the boss designs were neat, but I think I'm just burnt out on their end-game formula and playing in general. Story was rancid shit compared to HW, though some of the side characters were quite good. Gameplay was excellent, a major step up. Dungeons are good too. Overall it's good, but whoever decided to make Lyse the main character should be shot.

I haven't made it there yet, I'm still trying to slog through ARR. Just back and forth, back and forth, talk to this guy who sends you to this guy, who sends you to this point, which sends you back to the first guy who needs you to kill 3 things and give it to the second guy who sends you back to the first guy.

If Heavensward was a solid D-, then Stormblood is like a C+/B-.
They fixed a lot of shit with the classes, but some got fucked in the process.
The dungeons are alright, but over-reliant on dodge mechanics.
The story has some high points, and I cared about. Otherwise places far more than the fucking knife ears in HW, but they need better writers who understand pacing. Each area's liberation could have been an expansion by itself. Because it's not, you're left wondering why the Imperials were able to hold onto the places for so damn long.

How is crafting at level 70? It's such a clusterfuck at 60 that the idea of adding another 10 abilities of bloated bullshit on top of that is killing my motivation. Crafting rotations are based around trying to mitigate RNG as much as possible, yet they keep fucking adding "gamble" abilities that are like "haha, maybe this will help you, maybe it'll fuck you over :^)". The whole thing needs an overhaul to its actions. I still seriously can't believe they didn't ditch the cross-class system after all the trouble they went to removing it on battle jobs.

Really what good samurai armor is there? Besides the AF70 I know of three armor-y looking pieces:

Cyclas of Ishgard, Ghost Barque is cloth/leather but the shoulderpads make you think armor is beneath it, and then Marid leather.
