You really think New Vegas is "bordering on the greatest" of anything? It's as flawed as Fallout 3 was but for some reason people are willing to overlook the garbage flowing out of the game because Bethesda didn't make it.

I'm not saying it's worse than Fallout 3/4, those games still suck, but at best Fallout New Vegas is marginally better, but it still has a lot of huge issues with it.

The endings? A lot of stuff does affect the endings in NV. Every faction, companion, many towns, etc have their own little ending based on how you resolved their quests. I would much rather have all of those endings over like the two endings in 3. In 3 you never get to see how you affect the game or how any of your "decisions" play out, so I'm not sure why you even mention that.

The factions? I will agree that some of the factions in NV aren't as developed as they should be. The makers of the game and the fans all know and acknowledge that. The legion wasn't supposed to completely bad (supposed to be the safest places you can ever be in because they're so strict) but much of it was cut because of time constraints. I would happily take these 3 or 4 underdeveloped factions over the 2 god-awful factions from 3.

The guns? No because NV has more guns, weapon mods, ammo types, etc. You mention that quality is better than quantity, but 3's guns suck. 3 has completely nonsensical gun designs that don't make any sense and flat out wouldn't function, like that stupid shotgun. Bethesda couldn't even figure out how to do iron sights or looping animations for any of them while Obsidian did.

The companions? Companions are way more fleshed out in NV and have quest chains related to their past. They all have their own reasons for why they came here and what they're doing. 3 has a slave with no backstory, a bodyguard with no backstory, a robot with no backstory, a dog with no backstory, etc.I think the only companion in 3 who actually has a backstory is Fawkes, but even then it sucks.
