it's just that it's a pretty important Sega IP that survived the 3D transition very well and yet hasn't been touched in 6 years

I don't think the ps2 games were good enough, at least they didn't sell well enough. I know ps2 Shinobi has good things going for it, but if I have to compare it to Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi doesn't have a chance.

The reason it's dead is Sega. Sega just killed everything they had. I think it was their revenge for Dreamcast. A truly cunning plan, masterfully executed: they made their games miltiplatform and also shit.

Every footage I've seen of that game honestly looks and sounds awful. It looks like a PS1 game, it's hard to comprehend how it and Ninja Gaiden are the same generation.
