Fuck that shit, Oblivion XP fucks your game up in the long run and it doesn't even work for DLC correctly. The original guy who made it vanished and some other schmuck took it up to try and update it but it's still bad. Just stick to quality of life mods that make things less annoying and more up to date and throw on an ENB and some texture overhauls.

It's a shame this game is such a pain to mod.

Good armor mods are hard to come by. One of the real disappointments I discovered when I started modding a couple weeks ago
They're all either "DMRA SUPER SKIMPY WHY EVEN WEAR CLOTHES PACK" or "super edgy vampire serenity of the night witch's outfit"
That being said, I'd suggest either Spicyfox's or better protective female armors, or something along those lines. The former is for more feminine but still practical armor, and the latter is max-practical.
And Plate armor Plus, but that only affects one set and recolors it twice. Still looks nice though.

What's the mod for swinging trees?
Other than that, it's not really special, it's like New Vegas modding, you can't do much regarding the graphics, your eyes will still hurt.

Vanilla game is mostly better than Skyrim but the modding scene feels much weaker. Been trying to find a good housing mod and after trying some of the most highly rated ones I haven't been impressed.

Also been using Oscuros and while I appreciate many of the changes, the enemy leveling makes the game way too hard early on. Feels like you need to be level 15 to fight anything other than wolves, and many of the new enemies are just plain bullshit even at high levels.

I wish Bethesda would take time to fix ambient sounds because mods like this adds so much to the game.

Shame the Skyrim (Sounds of Skyrim) equivalent isn't compatible with Skyrim Sound Overhaul which fixes things like audio modulation like echoes and better footsteps.

Oblivion will still always kinda look like a 10 year old game, especially outside on the world map, but you can get it looking a damn sight better than it did on launch.
