Like I said in the last thread about the claymation looking ST5 models.

All the models in the new capcom fightings games are made by new western 3D sculpt designers.

3D Sculpt programs like Zbrush have become standard in 3D modelling and easy to use in the last years this attracts a lot of inexperience artists with no knowledge what they modeling for which slips a lot of bad geometries in their models and create difficulties in animating or optimizing them.
