anon, haven't you been in threads lately? the BNH comparisons have been endless. But spring is pretty much faster and more agile than max and max's bulk up has downsides as you already stated. but yeah basically the same abilities for different types of players. if you usually play as springman and want something a little stronger while sacrificing speed, use max and vice versa

I saw a video recently going over max in detail and it listed some pros and cons about max but I don't remember the name of the video. Basically, at times you need to be close to your opponent and being such a large target will put you at a disadvantage.

try to use the hammer at first, his other 2 arms don't have auto tracking so it's a bit harder to land shots. try and keep a good distance between you and the opponent so you can use your heavy arms to bypass their punches
