i remember first discovering melty blood via mugen sprite rips and thinking ciel looked rad as hell. i did research from there, eventually found the Beast's Lair, and tumbled down the rabbit hole.

i still remember when the tsukihime english translation patch was released and reading through tsukihime for the first time. that was amazing.

Indeed.
Kara no Kyokai is easily one of the greatest thing that happened in my life. I still re-read early Nasu works sometimes.
I still think that Kara no Kyokai anime is the best screen adaptation ever made.
Fate and Tsukihime were great, too. But Kara's my favorite and actually influenced me hard enough to change some things in my life.

I remember years ago when I first started playing Melty blood actress again knowing fuck all about typemoon, the cpu used to air combo me a lot when he was using Ryougi.
I was amazed by how good her sprite animations looked, although I thought she was a guy at first.
After reading a bit of Tsukihime I eventually got iinto watching the Kara no Kyoukai movies and oh man what a ride that was, I think I'll never get tired of them.
That fucking OST was beyond words.

No the Fate series intentionally has 100 different characters that all look like the same Girl with a different hair style or colour of of clothing and they intend on adding more. All because the creator really really really really likes that character design, The do this with like at least 9 other characters to varying extent
