It's a mix between something like source forts or Ace of spades but with hero classes and drop loot. There are 4 classes but each hero has different strengths in each class. You go do objectives by building shit to protect it from waves of events. When it gets dark SHTF, when it's light it's farm time. That's what I gathered anyways.

I heard of it from finding E3 trailers on someone's youtube channel. Concept looked kinda cool, and I thought the purple storm thing was an original idea to bring Zombies. Gameplay and other bits of UI seemed kinda suspicious though in terms of lots of Micro-transaction and feeling more like a Facebook game rather than a real game.

But since the game now seems DOA, and people willing to drop it because gearbox is distributing, as well as NO IDEA where the PC version is outside of grabbing it somewhere other than Steam, I don't think I'll be grabbing it.

I doubt it. It'll deffo be DOA, and then dissapear into obscurity, but not in the gloriously dramatic way Battleborn did.

Battleborn died the way it did from trying to butt heads with a better game company and a game that got more attention and did better than Battleborn ever did.

Furthermore, it failed because Randy just HAD to keep tweeting and spouting stupid shit constantly, as well as interior memes in Battleborn, like the infamous "Feminism is Awesome!" quote.

Fortnite doesn't have anything to butt heads with. far as I know, Epic games doesn't have any mouthpiece making an ass of them on the internet, and Randy's reach into it is just soley in terms of distribution and generally supporting the game's release, that's it.

It'll come out, maybe it'll do ok and be an average game with an average playerbase best case scenario.

Worst case, it's DOA, and the player-base is small, with it only having a decent amount in it's first few weeks. Maybe it could be revitalized via an update that makes the game more open to newer players, or the game will simply dissapear into nothing and be another forgotten game.
