The UGC Editor was seriously legit. You could make some really cool and creative missions with it. UGC not returning in Second Son was a huge disappointment for me. Spent so much time playing and making custom stuff.

I only ever played the first game. It was pretty cool I guess, not sure how it'd hold up now. 2 seems to be remembered fondly but I never see anyone really mention Second Son anymore, was it good at all?

I dropped 1 when I first played it. Only after revisiting it did I beat it. The second game on the other hand is an all-around big improvement and its become one of my favorite games on the system. Haven't played Second Son yet but I hear its not as good as 2.

i feel like they should have made the 3rd game based on the evil ending. at least that was more open ended

I like 1 and 2 equally for different reasons. 2 is more mechanically sound and not a chore to 100%, but the story and atmosphere isn't nearly as good. Worth a playthrough.

Second Son has a powerup gimmick that's pretty cool but it doesn't really make the combat that more interesting and overall the story is much much weaker than the first two, plus you really have no reason to give a shit about any of the characters aside from your brother I guess. If you can get it for bargain bin price then there's no reason to not give it a shot.

Man, I actually teared up at 2. He might have been a massive prick at 1 but they really wrote him well at 2 and the gameplay improved so much, all around such a great time.
