do you guys think arcades will make a comeback in the u.s as a place to play fully v.r games? as we know it right now theres no where besides Chucky cheese, dave and busters and anime/comic cons where you can play on arcade machines and any independent arcade thats still alive somehow is pretty barren, from my experience.
>having to share a mask with the general public
>also the mask makes everyone sweat profusely
arcades are fun but at this point they're just casinos for kids. vr isnt going to change that. i'll always remember them fondly but it's okay if they were to just go away

Arcades are already back.
They're called bars. and this where video games belong. Because this is where it started. Drunk gaming is gaming at its purest.

A round 1 just opened by me, it's pretty slick they got a lot of fighting games and cool rhythm games. I think if R1 can make it big coast to coast and really get a number of locations opened, they got a better chance than they do now, for sure.

Go find the table flip game, after a few beers it's really cathartic

No
Too many niggers
yeah but like I said it would be for people who want the "real" vr experience where right now they can't exactly get with either being confined to wires or being confined to a space where they might hurt themselves or for people too poor to buy a vr themselves
and vr is still in its infancy so we should take that into consideration.

to answer you question however I dont think vr will do much, it'd be a nice novelty for now sure, since not a lot of people have access to vr

My dude they had it, but it was down, same with Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, I was Pissed. Got to play that sick sniper game though, shit was nuts, and then that gunslinger Stratos games is super neat.

I go to the Round 1 near me way too often, I actually went this weekend. I have no idea what any of the instructions are for most of the games, but they're comfy as fuck. The Castlevania arcade game is sick too, as long as the whip controls are behaving

Well, GAME UK are opening up Belong spaces in some of their stores with a bunch of PCs/PS4s/Xbones set up that you can hire to play.
They also have VR set ups where you can pay £5 to play for a bit.

I saw that castlevania game, but I didn't give it a go, but I will next time. I know me and my friend are seriously gonna start goin like every weekend at this rate, cause we are suckers for rhythm games. I wanna get good at Museca
