He's really the villain of GoW. He made things progressively worse every game. They made him a god and the next thing you know he's walking around as a 100 foot giant destroying cities just like Ares who he killed in the first game.

Not his fault really, they guy spent ten years doing shitty jobs for the gods, and all he asked was for his memories to be erased.

But the gods needed a replacement for the god of war, and so they cucked him of his peace and strong armed him to be the new god of war, and even after that they still treated him like trash, kratos felt more conected to his soldiers fighting than to the other gods.

But unlike all the other guys the gods fucked over, kratos could actually fight back and fuck the gods into oblivion.

Dont forget zeus cursing his mother and his brother being tortured for years.

Recently replayed GoW3 and holy shit the whiny bitch going on about hope and how Kratos actually saved the world pissed me off. Dude got fucked over so he wants to burn it all down, it's a perfectly understandable motivation for a self destructive psychopath, and trying to make him out to be a good guy all along ruins the impact. The fucking psp game did it better with Kratos pushing his daughter away just so he could kill some more
